Our first flight from DC to London was a dream, so I had no idea what we were in for on the London to Johannesburg leg. None of the flight attendants were friendly and one seemed outright irritated by us.
On the first flight we each got a meal and we ordered a kid meal for the baby. At first, the flight attendants couldn’t find the kid meal so they gave him a regular meal and brought the kid meal (apparently, an infant meal of Gerber and Similac! Lol) a few hours later when they found it. This time around, they informed us that he couldn’t have a kid meal, that there was no such thing as a kid meal and that they didn’t have an infant meal either. *blank stare* A while later, she brought out a regular meal for the baby.
My chief complaints are:
- The plane was older so there was less leg room.
- The plane was older so there were no usb chargers.
- The plane was older so there was no touch screen for the baby to play with.
- The flight crew wasn’t welcoming to our baby.
No one was hostile toward us, but I’m glad that I had the other flight to compare it to because if this was my only experience I don’t think I would fly Virgin Atlantic again.
