Volunteering to Teach English in Sudan

The pyramids at Meroe, Sudan.

I’m not saying that we are going to do this but I am interested. Has anyone heard of the Sudan Volunteer Program? Apparently, you live in Sudan for at least six months while teaching college students the nuances of colloquial English.

It sounds a little challenging and super fun. I’ve been reading blogs posts here and here and here (this one has a husband and wife’s adventure in Sudan) dreaming about helping students and camping near pyramids.

One of my concerns is taking my two toddlers and the other is the vaccine list. Anyhoo …  if anyone has an experience to share, that would be great.
